This was without question, the most amazing sunset I’ve seen at Ruby Beach, this past weekend.
I was teaching a workshop and we decided to go to Ruby for sunset. After making sure my student was in good shape and shooting, I wanted to shoot inside the arch.
The tide was going up and I was getting soaked, camera included and I decided to move on to something else. This is how I came upon this amazing scene. Typically, one shoots looking to the other side of this stack, but the best light was happening in the “wrong” direction. The clouds were doing all kinds of crazy shapes and turning all kinds of colors and I quickly started shooting, before the light went away.
