Mmm no, this is not an island but it does look like right? Last Saturday we had a very nice and persistent sea of fog over the Padana plains up to extreme south of Switzerland where I live. The mountain you see here is the Monte San Giorgio, a natural UNESCO site as it is regarded as the best fossil record of marine life from the Triassic Period (245–230 million years ago). In fact at that time this mountain was submerged and part of a tropical sea lagoon separated from the open sea by an offshore reef.
