Typical scenery in the oldest part of my hometown Dordrecht. This is the other side of one of the main shopping streets here and I call it ” the back alley” . Dordrecht is the oldest city of the Netherlands and has a rich history and culture.

I took this shot this year just before blue hour. This place is only a few miles away from where I live. Dordrecht has some lovely canals in the center of town and is the oldest city of Holland.

The so called Red Light District of Amsterdam is in fact one of the oldest and most beautiful parts of the city. The combination of narrow cobbled streets, water canels and colorful windows make the atmosphere unique and fascinating.

Sunset promenade at Naviglio Grande (Grand Canal), an artificial waterway in Milan – Italy.
On the banks of the Naviglio formerly lived workers and artisans. Today the Naviglio Grande is a romantic area to stroll. Artists’ studios, original shops, romantic pubs, flea markets, and concerts make the area of the Naviglio a unique venue.
