Morning Piercer by eyeofalens

Morning Piercer
Im in a water mood at the moment & although it’s winter & grey & praying for some snow, I will be longing for some spring greens & water action …Oregon might well beckon again !
Columbia River Gorge has an abundance of waterfalls to keep one going for years on end..cant remeber what this one was called? & only stopped as I was walking pass & saw the sun shining through.
It was a challenge to capture with the spay, would have liked the sunstar a little smaller, but preferred this composition.

Gorgeous Gorge II by m_jackisch

I didn’t get out for much shooting this fall and I’ve sent my tripod in for repairs, so I find myself reprocessing some old favourites with some new tricks. It’s funny how much of a difference 6 months can make to your workflow. I almost wretched when I compared this image to the older version.

Been seeing a lot of impressive new talent on 500 lately. Keep up the good work my fellow enthusiasts!

Pasco Sunset by raygreenphotography

I apologize up front for yet another version in the Ed Hendler Cable Bridge sunset series. A potential client has expressed strong interest and has requested a full res. viewing of a few different takes. Besides, I thought you might enjoy the cloud formations in this one. Thank you for viewing, voting and/or any constructive comments!

Spirit of Adventure by m_jackisch

I love the quest behind the image. The research, planning, scouting, timing. The vision, the patience, the capture, and the execution. So many steps for that one (near) perfect shot, all transparent to the viewer but understood by the fellow photographer. While Spirit Falls wasn’t the hardest place to find or get to, there was some guess work involved and it is aways rewarding to discover a new place on your own. I tried some compositions from the lower area closer to water level but wound up preferring this perspective framed by the Spring foliage. I hope you enjoy.

Bear’s View by JeffHobsonPhotography

I had the opportunity to get out and do some hiking in the Gorge the other weekend and came across this small pool of water. It was ever so cool to sit in, it felt great after hiking a bit. There was a series of these little pools along the hike, every one offering there own little display of mossy rocks. I was with Gary Weathers this day and we had seen a fellow photographer who we thought we knew and it turned out it was Erin Rigg. I spoke with her later and she asked me if I saw the Black Bear watching us in the creek? I replied, nope had no idea there was one? She spooked it coming back down the trail as it was watching us that morning. Ya just never know what’s watching you out there….

Punch Bowl Sunrise by JeffHobsonPhotography

An image from the other morning with Tula Top, we had the place to our selves for just long enough to get a couple decent shots before the crowds showed up. As always we have so many laughs, this day was no exception. Thanks for looking as always and I hope everyone has a great day!
