The spine of the Dragon by AlfredoCostanzo

The Call of a Dream by dragonphoto

To me, it was the best combination: foliage color, snow on top of the mountains and fog which always gives me a sense of mystery. On an early morning in October, when we were just about to give up on our hopes for foliage shots after an overnight rain, we ran into this dreamland. It was beyond belief! We were gasping out of joy and surprise. We just could not believe our eyes! This brought my appreciation of the natural beauty of Colorado to a new height. What a wonderful place! Only in my dream I could have thought of landing in a place like this.

Hope you enjoy it as much as I did. Thank you!

Dragon Spikes by FlorentCourty

A great scene I’ve witnessed two days ago near the summit of the Sancy, one of the highest mountains of my region. I’ve always wanted to see those spikes from close range, which somehow look like a dragon’s back for me. Especially with the autumnal colors and fiery sunset.

Land of fire by Fotoaguado

Lanzarote is the easternmost island of the Canary Islands and has a volcanic origin. It was born through fiery eruptions and has solidified lava streams as well as extravagant rock formations. The island emerged about 15 million years ago as product of the Canary hotspot. The island, along with others, emerged after the break-up of the African and the American continental plates. The greatest recorded eruptions occurred between 1730 and 1736 in the area now designated Timanfaya National Park.

This is one of the images I captured in Kullaberg over a year ago on what was a very stormy moody evening ..well the wind was blowing & to some extent the water. I wasn’t really properly attired so didn’t stick round for too long once it kicked in & the rain that soon followed . Really looking forward to exploring more up there & hopefully in some stormy weather .
