The other day I pulled my car in here and went to bed. When I woke up, I knew I was in the right spot. This is Nubble Lighthouse in York, Maine. Really glad to have my Vü 10-stop ND back after breaking one in Alaska. Thanks Christopher Georgia for showing me around the east a bit!

With a stream of lower clouds, I had to wait a little longer for the sun to get a bit higher – but it was totally worth waking up at 3:30am and driving here for this spectacular view!

This newer lighthouse (built in the 1950s) replacing the older one from 1836 – which still stands nearby and is one of the oldest surviving lighthouses in Newfoundland.
