Framing Big Ben by stephenemerson

The 16-storey Gothic clocktower and national symbol at the Eastern end of the Houses of Parliament, London. I tried two nights for this composition. Biggest problem was patiently waiting for people to move of that wall. Within a brief period of nobody in the frame I captured the three exposures I needed to blend.

Lighthouse keeper by stephenemerson

“The Lighthouse keeper” that would be me on this occasion at Petit Minou lighthouse, France. This was a risky shot as I had to leave my tripod for a few seconds each time in very windy conditions. Had to try this a few times also until I got something close to what I wanted. I really wanted the tide to be in under that arch but it doesn’t always come together the way you want.
