In Between by GreggB

Here is another shot of Tetons. This place isn’t far from the place I shot my last image at. I liked the trees (in the foreground) sort of surrounding the mountains and pointing towards it. This was shot way before the sunrise, so mountains haven’t been yet illuminated by the sun. Still, I think they look beautiful and very photogenic the way they are.

Sunrising Moon by GreggB

Here is one I was a bit lucky to capture, I have to admit.
I was waiting for a sunrise and the “good light”, and noticed this huge Moon setting behind the mountain. I zoomed in and shot the scene at 500mm (hence the giant size of the Moon’s surface). At first I really didn’t pay attention to the Moon because it was too high and too small, and I was after the entire mountain range, not just a fragment of it. But, with the Moon low and giant in size, and with some orang-y color in the mountain peaks the scene became more appealing to me. Now I think it’s a great shot 🙂

Grand But Cold Morning by GreggB

Grand But Cold Morning.
Once in a while I get lucky, as we all do, and I manage to capture some amazing light. That’s what photography is all about after all, capturing the light. Right?
The light you see on the image below lasted for just a few minutes but that’s all I needed, though I waited for it at least a half an hour. With temperature outside hovering around -30F (or -34.4C) I seriously had enough 🙂 Being from Souther CA, I wasn’t really prepared/ready for that much of a temperature drop. It’s just 2 hours flight time!
But, I did capture this place just the way I imagined/wanted. I explored this location a couple of times before and found my composition first (two days prior to the day I took this shot on. This was my first trip to Grand Teton NP so I had no idea this location even existed) and I came one morning, set my tripod up, and waited for the results you now see. I don’t know about you guys but I personally am very happy from what I got 🙂
This shot will be printed, large!
Enjoy

Colorful and Reflective by GreggB

Here is a shot of a very colorful kind of living. And, a very reflective as well.
I shot this panorama in Vermont, just like most of my shots you saw in the last two weeks. The lake you see is called Elmore and it’s located around 20 minutes away North from Stowe.
Enjoy

An Overcast by GreggB

Once upon a time in Patagonia I’ve managed to capture this (no foreground element, I know) image that I think is still worth sharing. I love this place and next year it’s going to be my 4th visit there. More info about my workshops in both Argentina and Chile is on gregboratyn.com
Enjoy this shot on black (click on the image).

Frozen by GreggB

Yet another sunrise over Cerro Torre lagoon….
For this shot I used/utilized two main “ice with air” paths (with the big rock at the end) to lead the viewers eyes into the mountain, the most prominent object of the scene.
Enjoy

Jagged Peaks II by GreggB

Here is a three images stitched pano I took in Torres del Paine, Patagonia, Chile. It’s just a fragment of how this beautiful land looks like on a stormy and windy day. There are 4 condors flying above the mountains and to its left. Can you see them? My upcoming 2016 Epic Autumn Patagonia Workshop has only few opens spots left.
