Falls Creek Falls was certainly one of my favorites from my last trip to WA/OR. The beautiful 1.7mi hike brings you to an overlook which is where most people see the falls from. Chris Williams and I wanted to get the lower perspective seen here, which I think makes the falls look even more impressive. The set of falls collectively drop 335′, with the last drop of 91′ seen here. It was quite an extraordinary view. We also enjoyed meeting Taylor Duncan down there!

Here’s one more image from my trip to Falls Creek Falls, WA this past spring. All of the conditions you see in this one were completely in camera. My previous image was shot on the same day but the light was changing by the minute with passing rain clouds in the area. Max Foster and I got very lucky because by the end of shooting there wasn’t a cloud in the sky, which would have made LE exposures pretty difficult since I don’t typically use ND filters. The amount of water coming over the falls was pretty intense and I had my camera only about a foot or so from the water while shooting this one so staying dry was no easy feet. Hope you enjoy this one!

When you add the the nice hike, the fact that these falls are a little more off the beaten path on the Washington side of the Gorge, and that these falls are massive when you combine both the upper and lower falls. This has to be one of my favorite waterfalls in the Gorge.

My new Website is up and running 😀

I know this is one of the more well known and shot waterfalls but I definitely had to see it for myself. This was taken on the last day of my jaunt through the Columbia River Gorge with my buddy Max Foster . When we finally scrambled down to the base of this thing to say I was blown away was a bit of an understatement. It really is something to see in person!
