Hostile Beauty by wilcowesterduin

As most of you know by now, i have been struck by a very bad foot infection for the last 10 days, already… Healing with antibiotics is in progress, but goes very slow.

This, the Basque Flysh at Zumaia, is the place where i probably caught it, when shooting with my 500px photographer friends Holger Glaab, Jontake and Henry Delarivière-Aldridge, in wet shoes all evening… Stupid of me, of course, having a pinched blister. Lesson learned!

Still crazy how such a beautiful place eventually turned out to be so hostile for me…

It was a great time, shooting the Flysh at Zumaia, with my 500px friends. Unfortunately there has been a bad development afterwards, because i caught a very bad foot infection there, probably due to a little wound and wet shoes all evening… It has stuck me to bed now for 3 days already, not able to walk and with severe pain. Yesterday evening it suddenly expanded towards my leg and gave me a high fever so we went to the hospital emergency. Medicines have to do their work now, but i am not well, my friends. What an incoming from this great shooting! Fortunately i am in the good hands of Coralie, who takes wonderful care of me.
