Sparkling Lights of Frankfurt by dragrund

This one is the last picture of my Frankfurt series. The magnificant colors of the Skyline in the dark are really fascinating.

As usual, this is a single exposure with just basic development from raw. It was taken with my Sony A7 and the famous Leica M Summilux 1.4/50 Aspheric lens.

Frankfurt Skyline by dragrund

Frankfurt (Germany) is the largest financial centre in continental Europe. It is home to the European Central Bank, Deutsche Bundesbank, Frankfurt Stock Exchange and several large commercial banks.

Frankfurt with 700.000 inhabitants belongs certainly not to the Megacities of the world, but the skyline is very spectacular due to its numerous colors reflecting in the Main River.

Single exposure – just development in LR5 from raw. Taken today, December 28th.

Deutsche Bank Twin Tower Frankfurt by dragrund

In the center of the picture you see the Deutsche Bank Twin Tower. It is a twin tower skyscraper complex in the Westend-South district of Frankfurt, Germany. Both towers rise to 155 m (509 ft) and serve as headquarters for the Deutsche Bank, the largest bank in Germany and one of the most important in the world . The twin towers are sometimes nicknamed debit and credit (German: Soll und Haben), the two aspects of every financial transaction. View from the Maintower with a height of 200m.

Single exposure with just basic development from raw.

The financial district of frankfurt am Main covered by fog. This photo was taken during my last photo-workshop about long exposures, architecture and urban landscapes in the german capital of skyscrapers and the financial system.
We started in a rainy morning but after a while the rain stopped and we just got a grey sky without any structures in the clouds.
When we arrived at the river Main the fog started floating deep above Frankfurt to cover the famous skyscrapes. A rare moment which we had to catch! During the next weeks I will show some results of the participants too.
I am happy to announce that the new dates for the next photo-workshops are almost planned. I will publish them on my website within the next week. Stay tuned.
