Head of the Church of “Nuestra Señora de los Remedios” Sanctuary of Fuensanta (Albacete), built between the 16th and 18th centuries, over an earlier chapel. It was made of masonry with ashlars corners in the shape of a chain as reinforcement, oriented towards the East, as was customary in religious architecture. The wall attached to the facade is part of the cloister of the sanctuary.

The wind that shakes the barley. by FranciscoGarciaRios

Música (abrir en nueva pestaña) / Music (Open link in new tab): The wind that shakes the barley – Dolores Keane.
Facing these windswept fields plenty of grain ears, I could not fail to remember that traditional Irish ballad entitled “The Wind That Shakes the Barley” and the Ken Loach’s film of the same title.

Sacred Path. by FranciscoGarciaRios

Music (Open link in new tab) / Música (abrir en nueva pestaña): Connie Dovern Air for Mary Tipton.
A pavilion which serves as little chapel called “Arc of Hoya Murciana” so known for the name of the place where it is located. Built in 1980, is one of the most significant milestones on the “Camino de la Virgen” (Virgin Path), so named for being, every year, the path of the “Virgen de los Remedios” pilgrimage, a religious celebration that is held in mid May in La Roda (Albacete, Spain), when the Virgin is moved from this town to their sanctuary in the neighboring town of Fuensanta, fulfilling an existing true tradition since 1592, according to documentary evidence.

-Español:
“Camino sagrado”.
