What is it that makes the Alps and mountains so fascinating? For sure it´s their unimaginable dimensions. The depth, the expanse. The dangers involved stimulate and challenges our primary instincts. But the sheer beauty that a mountain massif radiates is hard to put into words and will fulfill me in 2016 even more intensive.

On my tours through remote places on our planet I often stumble upon paradisical places that take my breath away. When I think they are worth a great photo, I decide to wait or return when the light and hence the atmosphere is more unique. It was a long hike deep into the Swiss mountains. If you then, however, encounter the paradise, you feel closer to heaven.

Summer sun above the majestically Schrecksee in the Bavarian Alps.
For me the Allgäu is one of the most beautiful landscapes in Germany. Green gras, flower carpets, lakes and sharp peaks. Even if most of the beautiful locations are challenging to reach I really enjoyed to shoot there. Stay tuned more to come!
