“Trois Cornes” – Haute Savoie – French Alps

Fantasy or reality? At some places these opposites blurs. Unless you witnessed the magic with your own eyes.

Into the Wild by StefanHefele

“Into the Wild” – Gloomy Dolomits

“While I was standing on the edge with an infinite depth in front of me I felt the last warmth of light on my skin while the cold shadows slowly spread and the darkness covered the monumental landscape like a veil.”

Allgäu Perfection by TobiasRichter

Summer sun above the majestically Schrecksee in the Bavarian Alps.
For me the Allgäu is one of the most beautiful landscapes in Germany. Green gras, flower carpets, lakes and sharp peaks. Even if most of the beautiful locations are challenging to reach I really enjoyed to shoot there. Stay tuned more to come!

Alpine Treasure by StefanHefele

“Alpine Treasure” – Dolomites

Isn´t it mindblowing when mother nature drives at full speed?! What I was able to experience here in the Dolomites is so unique. Like a tribute to our planet with all its fascinating facets. It´s not only the place itself, it´s also the track that leads to this pearl that took my breath away at times.

Green Dusk by StefanHefele

“Green Dusk” – Allgäuer Alpen – Germany

Es sind die letzten Tage in denen die Schrofen – die Steilwiesen der Allgäuer Hochalpen – noch anmutig strahlen. Bald hält die weiße Pracht im Gebirge Einzug und läutet die kalte Zeit des Jahres ein. Mit dem traditionellen Almabtrieb wird diese Jahreszeit gefeiert.

Glowing Ridge by StefanHefele

“Glowing Ridge” – Senja i Norge

Climbing a ridge with snowshoes is a great experience. Just in time I could make my photo here because the sun had disappeared shortly afterwards. After spending 9 days on the Island Senja last January/February this was the first time I was able to spot the sun… What a special moment for me.

The green Queen by StefanHefele

“The green Queen” – Höfats – Germany

Beauty is not always easy to achieve. So we are doing many things in life. To reach this viewpoint a long march with thousand of vertical metres was necessary. However, the sweat and the effort evaporates when such a photo is in the box.
The Höfats presents itself like a queen in the blazing early evening light on a warm summer day. Full of devotion the wildflowers seem to bow before their beauty. What a paradise of an idyll.

Heaven on Earth by StefanHefele

“Heaven on Earth” – Vorarlberg – Austria

When the night fades in and stars are already twinkling in the sky there is some otherworldy light in the air. What here probably looks like a photomanipulation is the rising moon that illuminates the mountain. Nightly alpenglow so to speak :-).

Mordor by StefanHefele

“Mordor” – Vorarlberg – Austrian Alps

Have I told you that I just visited one of the most fanciful places that exists in a fantasynovel? It seems that places exists, where fantasy and reality merge. Even a dark place like Mordor apparently is alive in the otherwise idyllic world of the Alps. Just a view doorsteps away from the home of a lot of us. One reason why it is worth to hike hundreds of vertical meters in cruel heat and wait for hours in hope to catch the right light.
