Iceland, ended a great tour with new found friends with THOR Photography run by http://ift.tt/161CjZy, will be uploading some “not so usual shots” at least from the way I used to shoot the locations on our tours. Changing things it a bit!

This was taken handheld 6 inches off the ground on a pc of Ice submerged on the shoreline, had to do this very quick as one wave coming in would push this ice towards me which would basically be the end of me and my gear. Hope you like it!!!

take from the Ice Beach moving just a couple of feet in between shots, this is I think where I turned around for a quick sec and my gear smashed on the ice… clumsy… 😀

anyway its all in the fun of it…. didnt bother me one bit except for the fact that I had to visit the shop again to buy the filters

small fragments on the beach had to go low and try to escape once a big one comes in to swallow all my gear, I was shooting 3x on the beach with no waders on and almost had a fever 2 days after.

my first salvo upon reaching the hooker lake, a low angle multiple focused stacked image of some ice on the shoreline, waves kept punishing my filters and moving all the small fragments of ice, the freezing cold also made it a bit difficult to get my tripod into place as my hands were all sore.

midnight sun on the west end of jokulsarlon, had to scout 3 locations before settling due to the wind, bad weather came as the light faded, just in time to head back to the bus.

blocks of frozen ice around the lagoon in jokulsarlon, for days the beach had no ice due to the wind direction and the lagoon stopping all the ice from flowing to see… was wierd… and amazing at the same time to witness.

this is a shot from a midnight sun morning in jokulsarlon, multiple exposed into two frames 2 mins apart so I could take out some reflections on the midframe which was troubling my shot 😀
