Godafoss by YiannisPavlis

Nicknamed by one local as ‘The Beauty’ in comparison to ‘The Beast’ of Dettifoss, the name Goðafoss could be translated roughly as The Waterfall of The Gods. With low temperatures and high wind you could get one frame off before having to spend 5-10 minutes cleaning the gear down, and try again .Please Visit me on Facebook!.

You leave me cold by DanielHerr

I never saw a wild thing sorry for itself. A small bird will drop frozen dead from a bough without ever having felt sorry for itself. (D. H. Lawrence)

Thanks to all my buddys, visitors , I think I did enough in 2015 at 500px. It is time for a longer break. Of course I will take some looks to the flow and to the work of others.

Going back to Iceland in February 2016 with new equipment, let`s see what will happen. Canon DSLR is history now and I am a happy Fujianer now. 😉

CU soon again here.

Winter Mourning by DanielHerr

Mourning is not forgetting… It is an undoing. Every minute tie has to be untied and something permanent and valuable recovered and assimilated from the dust. (Margery Allingham)

It`s a strange thing, I am not sure, how many scenes I processed during the last 11 months. Talking about this spot and scene. And everytime I am thinking it would be exactly the thing I want, I find something new. It seems to be that there are possibilities for the rest of my life. And I`ll be back there soon. Maybe. Or better not? Uploading tons of the same spot with some different views and settings. Not sure. What`s the difference here: Better contrats between warm and cold tones. A lot of pp work in the ice textures. Maybe that`s it. I am insanely in love with this waterfall. Like a mystical touch. Not sure but the saga about the betrayal on our older Gods touches me. Or just the conditions. Or both. I don`t know. Anyway, enjoy to drown in this appearance of a beautiful Icelandic winter day.
