Flameout by RetoSavoca

The sunset at the lake Saoseo was blotted out very fast by incoming cloud banks – time to break out the big stopper 😉 I kind of liked the result – I hope you do too! Greetings from Switzerland!

Ghost Mountains by ManuelMartin1972

I was on a hike in the Alps enjoying the fresh air and the few snow we had (better to have few snow than nothing lol) when I arrived at this point in the image! And what I really loved was how the mountains were disappearing and appearing all the time behind fog and low hanging clouds. We had changing weather conditions and a very strong wind … no wonder that I could be a viewer of this wonderful spectacle! I was so fascinated by this back and forth of having mountains in front of me and having nothing than only a white wall that I was afraid to lose this opportunity to capture only one scene of whatever! So, no time to look for a cool foreground! I just threw the backpack on the ground, grab my cam and my tripod and made so many shots as possible hoping to have something useful to show! Well, and this one here is the result and I hope you like it!

Headlights on the Roll by aagazzi

Two cars driving over a pass in Switzerland during winter, where snow has like at many other places in the alps not fallen in high quantities yet. I tried to achieve some light trails of cars and liked this one best with white headlights only. The goal was capturing a scene where no interruption is shown in the trails, thus exposure time should be as long as the cars needed from one end of the frame to the other. Hope you like it 🙂

Rocking with the Light! by aagazzi

The light in the mountains becomes sometimes truly stunning! And even better, it changes its colors and intensity quite rapidly which allows within little time to shoot different versions – hope you like this one as well, thanks to all!

The view to the mountain Schijenflue by ManuelMartin1972

The weather was just great and I already guessed that the sunset would be fantastic. Thus I made my way because near our house in the mountains there is an imposing gorge. The plan was to photograph the sunset from this gorge! But unfortunately the plan remained only plan, because the way down into the gorge was blocked. And even Elvish nor the one Ring were a help he he he. I wanted to climb over the barriers, as a farmer caught me doing what I was doing! He cried „I wouldn’t do that. It’s too dangerous, you can’t go down to the gorge! There was a landslide in spring and the area is really not very safe!“. Not 5 minutes later I was already invited by him and his wife to have an espresso. Very very friendly people in Graubünden he he he 🙂 I enjoyed the time with this fine company.

My plan failed and I wondered what I should do then. So I said to myself … simply start walking, and let fate decide where it leads you. Sometimes these are the best adventures!! During my hike towards Mount Schijenflue I noticed that I never was in the riverbed of the Schanielenbach. It was time to change this he he he. So I went down to the river, set up the tripod and waited for the dawn. I hope you like the result.
