During the return back home after a visit at Segantini refuge, for a little moment, the light of the sun have pierced the clouds and lighted the valley under my path. It was the perfect gratification after that I have carried during all the day all my heavy photographic equipment!! In the valley in the foreground you can see a small alpine alm, it is in a fantastic place! The spectacular clouds complete this panoramic view of the Brenta Dolomites!

I was with a couple of hikers friends on the Segantini refuge in Amola valley. It rained for all the day. This is one of sunset images that I took on the Ritorto lake few weeks ago! It was the start of sunset! The sun went down from the right of the image, the illumination of the Brenta mountains was absolutely stunning!

Selfie at Nero lake! During the day I shooted many images like this one. I left my photocamera on the tripod and walked to the opposite shore of the lake to be in my own landscape picture!

The mountain in the image is the Brenta mountain range in Trentino, north Italy.

In one of the last autumn days without snow I had the luck to have a really beautiful sky during the golden hour. It was neither too cloudy, nor too serene! This picture was one of the last photo that I taken in that day there. The night was coming quickly and I needed almost two hours to return back to my car! Luckily no bear on the way back! 🙂

I think that the human presence in the landscape picture is absolutely the added value for the image! It’s the thing that makes special the image!

The human presence in “Selfie dolomiti” is a little detail on the right part of the image. A little black silhouette is the image of me in the landscape.

I have left my gear and walked for 30 minutes about, I arrived to the opposite part of the Ritorto lake and I have put myself inside that landscape image.

The Brenta mountain in front of me is really huge and that little black detail gives the right proportion of the size of that mountain.

Seven o’clock in the morning, I was shooting for one of the most beautiful shows of Nature in one of the beautiest place that I have known until today! Sunrise at Tovel lake!
