The Back Alley by Brains11

Typical scenery in the oldest part of my hometown Dordrecht. This is the other side of one of the main shopping streets here and I call it ” the back alley” . Dordrecht is the oldest city of the Netherlands and has a rich history and culture.

Moonlight Magic by Brains11

There was a full moonrise that evening at the Zaanse Schans. After some time the little farm was somewhat illuminated from the moonlight which gave me the opportunity to shoot some nice images………..

Moonrise Over The Hague by Brains11

During this trip to The Hague there was a nice moonrise just above the skyscrapers in the distance. The original moon had a blueish halo around it and the moon was somewhat deformed ( most of the time because of the long exposure) so I edited the moon a bit to make it a smooth fit into the image.

A Crack Of Light by Brains11

I didn’t have high hopes that day when I took off to Kinderdijk. It was dark and raining but since Kinderdijk is only a short drive for me I was hoping things would improve in the evening. Luckily it did with some gaps in the clouds during golden hour. The sun did find it’s way through the thick clouds to give some beautiful light……

Reflections of Dordrecht II by Brains11

I took this shot this year just before blue hour. This place is only a few miles away from where I live. Dordrecht has some lovely canals in the center of town and is the oldest city of Holland.

A Golden Touch by Brains11

Typical golden hour scenery at Kinderdijk (Holland). As if an orange/golden finger touches the windmills one last time before the sun dies and blue hour kicks in…….

Reflections Of The Hague by Brains11

I always wanted to return to The Hague in the evening sometime to shoot the parliament buildings at night. Last night the weather conditions were quite good, hardly any wind thus nice calm water which would be great for the reflections in the water.
