It has been a while since I regularly posted images, work really has been keeping me busy, without much time for Photo Editing. To say that my equipment is still producing fantastic results would be an understatement. Thanks so much to Sigma South Africa for supplying me with amazing Lenses to capture amazing sightings with super fine quality like these two male lions bonding after an evening out on patrol.

This picture is dedicated to Namibia’s Desert Lion Conservation Project which was started by Dr Flip Stander in 1998. The two brothers of my picture (2 of the 5 musketeers) are subject of a documentary by Will and Liane Steenkamp, “Vanishing Kings” (already released in Namibia). The five musketeers – five brothers – try to survive in the oldest desert of our world. We did observe them for roughly 2-3 hours. An incredible situation right in the middle of nowhere. We have been so lucky to find them in this wilderness. They are 2-3 years old and just starting to go their own way in this wilderness.
