Die Burg Katz ist eine rechtsrheinische Hangburg in St. Goarshausen, Rheinland-Pfalz.

Eigentlich trug die Burg den Namen Burg Neukatzenelnbogen. Der Volksmund hat das auf Burg Katz verkürzt.

Seit 2002 ist die Burg Katz Teil des UNESCO-Welterbes Oberes Mittelrheintal.

The ‘Rheinsteig’ path leads you from St. Goarshausen to the top of the Loreley Rock where you get this wonderful ‘View from The Loreley’ at the Loreley School in St.Goarshausen-Heide. Across the Rhine river you can see the villages Urbar and Biebernheim on top of the Rhine valley and below is the town Sankt Goar.
