Rising lights by weather-photosNET

Viaduct Črni Kal and car trails at night on Nov 12th, 2015. Dense fog trapped beneath the thermal inversion was gradually rising this night, creating some crazy scenes with the highway.

Into the clouds by weather-photosNET

My photos in calendar 2016: http://ift.tt/1rW6N89

The famous viaduct Črni Kal, Slovenia is rising from the dense fog in the first morning light of Nov 13th, 2015. The persisting thermal inversion resulted in cold airmass to remain trapped over the North Adriatic sea.

Winter window by weather-photosNET

View through the “window” I had this morning after skies finally cleared after a week long orographically enhanced freezing fog atop of mt. Javornik, Slovenia. Up to 50cm of hard rime has accumulated. A nice view over the inversion layers below and distant Alps of N Slovenia. Nov 28th, 2015.

Around the Milky Way by weather-photosNET

Bright Milky Way shining above the SW Slovenia two nights ago. Too bad for the terrible light pollution from the city of Trieste though. July 14th, 2015.

Orange storm by weather-photosNET

Who could ask for a more spectacular sunset supercell than this one near Bledsoe, New Mexico. What an amazing color display and sporadic lightning strikes, illuminating the structure. Followed after a photogenic elephant trunk tornado less than an hour before this moment. May 29th, 2015.

Dream becomes reality by weather-photosNET

No doubt one of my best night time chases ever last night. Was tracking a long lived tornadic supercell across W-CNTRL South Dakota which was producing wind gusts up to 150 km/h, doing a lot of damage on its path. Very extreme rough power of the nature. Apart from being a photogenic beauty & monster at the same time. June 19th, 2015.
