With the warm days and the cold nights in autumn, it is not unusual to have foggy mornings. This was taken yesterday morning. Saturday, we had had a warm autumn day of 22 Celsius but when I went out to take this picture on Sunday morning at 7 a.m., it was only 4 Celsius!!!

Avec les journées chaudes et les nuits froides d’automne, il n’est pas rare d’avoir des matins brumeux. Cette photo a été prise hier matin. Samedi, nous avions eu une belle journée d’automne ensoleillée d’environ 22 degrés Celsius, mais dimanche matin, quand je suis sortie pour prendre cette photo à 7 h, il faisait seulement 4 Celsius !!!

Another magical morning admired while out on my kayak on the Ottawa river. The island you see on the right is Lower Duck Island.

Un autre merveilleux matin admiré lors d’une sortie en kayak sur la rivière des Outaouais L’île que vous voyez à droite est Lower Duck Island.

Golden morning on the Ottawa River ❖ Un matin en or sur la rivière des Outaouais by blue_iris

This is a picture I took while kayaking at sunrise last week on the Ottawa River. It was very hot and humid, which you can see from the haze in the photo. During that outing, I saw an osprey and a bald eagle but I was too far for good pictures. The sunrise on the other hand was fantastic. This shot was taken straight into the sun, about 45 min after sunrise, when the sun was much higher up in the sky. Hope you like it. Cheers.

Carpe Diem

I got up really early yesterday morning (4 :15 a.m.) to go catch the sunrise and go kayaking afterwards. I almost talked myself out of it because the comfort of my bed was very appealing. I was very glad that I went because the sunrise was glorious. It was a hot and humid day and the sun was bright red as it came up. This is one of the pictures I took. Hope you enjoy it.
