COPPER OCEAN by BenoSaradzic

I took this panorama at the beginning of the world’s largest sand desert, the Empty Quarter, 150 km South East of Abu Dhabi in the UAE.
It’s hard to explain the eerie desolation and vastness of this place with words. I hope my picture conveys a tiny bit of my experience.

The Dark Side by danyeidphotography

I don’t consider myself a fine art photographer, but sometimes i see things in a different perspective. The sheikh Zayed grand mosque in Abu Dhabi is a unique design & a good mix of modern and traditional culture. First class craftsmanship everywhere.

Petra from above by julvar

Petra is easily the #1 tourist attraction in Jordan, attracting around 600 000 visitors a year. So I got there just after sunrise in an attempt to beat the crowds. I failed, miserably. By the time I got to the Treasury, hundreds of people already milling about and posing for photos. I was strangely disappointed by this, but had heard tales of a secret hidden hiking trail – rarely taken by tourist – that led to stunning views from above the Treasury. I’d dreamed of this moment for many years – ever since seeing Petra in Indiana Jones & the Last Crusade – and I was simply overwhelmed with the beauty of this ancient archaeological relic. Here, it was impossible not to feel the energy of the past resonating throughout the hillside.

THE CAPITAL SKYLINE (T-D) by BenoSaradzic

‘THE CAPITAL SKYLINE (T-D)’

(see it Full Screen mode for maximum effect)

Abu Dhabi’s skyline, processed with my own Time-Dilation technique in which several exposures, captured at various times of the day are fused seamlessly into a surreal image like this one. It took more than 5 hours on a freezing windy night and morning to capture all images which make this composite.
It’s very interesting to see the effect of the artificial as well as natural light interact with the scene in this manner. This kind of visualization would not have been possible before the era of digital image processing. It’s really awesome to explore the new horizons of creative possibilities.

RAW files were captured with Canon 5dmk3 and Canon 50mm f1.2L lens. Base image was fused with Oloneo PhotoEngine HDR application.
Time-Dilation effect was processed with Photoshop CC 2015 and NIK Suite on a custom built PC running Windows 10 Pro 64-bit.
As usual, I used a pressure sensitive Wacom Intuos Pro tablet for image manipulation and layering.

Dusty Dawn by EliaLocardi

While I was in Dubai a few weeks ago, I had a very interesting morning shooting in extremely high humidity and low patchy spots of clouds. In fact, it was so hot and muggy outside that my camera was literally dripping water from all the accumulating moisture. Every few minutes, I had to soak it all up with a towel and wipe the fog off the front of my lens. Though I can’t say it was a fun experience, the complicated conditions resulted in a very interesting atmosphere to photograph. If you look closely in the background, you can barely see a small piece of the Burj Khalifa as the rest of the monstrous structure has been totally engulfed by the fog.

Speaking of Dubai, I’m very excited to announce that I’ll be teaching 3 different Photography Workshops at Gulf Photo Plus next February!

To learn the techniques I used to shoot and post-process this image, you can find all the info about my new tutorial video series by visiting: http://ift.tt/1K9IvDX.
