Taken at Stovepipe Wells Campground. The full moon setting. All the shots I took of the moon that morning were handheld, I was getting ready for a hike so didn’t have time to set up the tripod. I figured handheld I could adjust frame and zoom much quicker also taking rapid fire shots I had a good chance of getting some in good focus ;)!

Extending the Canadian paddling season in style – under the aurora. An absolutely perfect night in the mountains: a touch of moonlight, the mountains dressed up in white, “warm” temperatures and the northern lights dancing above!
