I’ve seen a lot of beautiful photos of this tree here on 500px, so I also wanted to take one for myself! So, this was taken on my trip to attend my cousin’s wedding. Eye on The Ground by NhtPhm

This is another favorite shot at my favorite beach Corona Del Mar. This was taken before sunset, so there are not a lot of colors here. Those clouds were gone at sunset btw. This is all I got that evening. I was here early to look for a something interesting in the foreground and I found this! Pathway to Glory 2 by NhtPhm

This is another shot that I took at Manhattan Beach Pier, CA after work! We knew the date that the sun would be at the middle of the pier at sunset! So we were here early to wait for this moment. It was a great sunset that day and there were a lot of photographers came out to take photo. But I was so surprised that no one came and took photo under the pier except me and my friend. Maybe they didn’t know about this or they already took photos like this. Anyways, this pier is not popular as the Scripps pier in San Diego. I heard that there were a lot of photographers came to Scripps pier to capture a moment like this, so I’ve never been to that pier for the shot because of the crowd. I chose to take similar photo at Manhattan Beach and it’s not bad at all! 🙂

Working in The Dark! by NhtPhm

Back to bird photography! This is one of my favorite shots of the hummingbird! Using flash in the day, can you can create something like the photo was taken in the studio. I named this photo “Working in The Dark” cause the bird is on the black background. But reality, the bird was working in the daylight in bright sunny day! 🙂

The Moai of Grand Canyon by NhtPhm

Back to my Grand Canyon series. This was taken from my 2nd trip to Grand Canyon NP. This is a popular view point and the rock that caught my eyes was the one on the right of the foreground rock formation. It looks like a Moai monolithic human figures carved by the Rapa Nui people on the Chilean Polynesian island of Easter Island. I want to use the light to focus on this rock and the morning light was perfect to capture this. The shadow on the left side and back side of this rock helps the iconic rock pop up really good in this pic.
