Winter approaches.. by holofoten

My FB-page;)

The first day in September, and yellow leaves, aurora and the first snow is on the menu. It is getting colder, days are getting shorter and polar night is just around the corner. For some the worst part of living above the polar circle, for others the most amazing part. I belong to the last group of people of course;)! This image is from Lofoten, shot november last year, just before polar night.

Mist at Devils Tooth.. by holofoten

Follow my FB-page;)
From a very special evening and night at Tungeneset (Senja, Norway). The mountains in the background is named Okshornan, but their nickname is “the devils tooth”. This is a very popular place for people to visit, but this evening (and night) I had the whole place for myself. Mist covered almost the whole island, but here the mountains were visible. For perfect reflections I had to stand in the water for a while, but as long as waders are part of my photo equipment I had no problems with cold temperatures;)!

I am considering to arrange photo-workshops on this island (and other interesting places) next year, give me a hint if you would be interested! I will optionally provide further information later;)!

Otervika.. by holofoten

Follow my FB-page;)

Made this panorama a few days ago, visiting Otervika (Andøya, Norway). This location is very special, with a fantastic beach surrounded by spectacular mountains. And the view towards Bleiksøya is just wonderful. This island is uninhabited, only hundreds of thousands birds live happily there, among them puffins.
