Last Paddler by PaulZizkaPhoto

Extending the Canadian paddling season in style – under the aurora. An absolutely perfect night in the mountains: a touch of moonlight, the mountains dressed up in white, “warm” temperatures and the northern lights dancing above!

Utopia by PaulZizkaPhoto

What’s your idea of the perfect night out?
For me, hard to beat a wild place for the tent, icebergs, aurora, stars, calm water to reflect all of it, a few friends to share the view and a cup of tea to top it all off. The only thing missing was the family!

The Green in Greenland by PaulZizkaPhoto

Well, our first night ever shooting in Greenland was one that will stay with us forever. This is what I imagined when I thought of Greenland. Aurora, wilderness camping, massive icebergs (that one behind the tent is about 350 metres high).

Dream come true.

Aurora Winds At Krikjufell by danielmachtfotos

@danielmachtfotos

This shot was pretty hard to take. I hiked to the waterfall during the night and it was stormy as hell. To make my way up there was the one challenge, but the real challenge was to get a good shot because I only had my smaller tripod with me which – obviously – is not that heavy so it could stand the stormy winds.

I had to hold it really tight and always wait for some moments where the wind is not too strong so I can take a shot without completely shaking the camera.

Thanks for viewing and being interested in what I do!
