Most of the leaves are gone from the trees, and I missed the fall colours, but one thing I do like is to see the tree skeletons. I love to see the essence of the trees, without any adornment.

Another magical early morning shared with Canada geese while kayaking on the Ottawa river. You can see the mist that is burning off as the sun warms up the air. It has been such a joy this summer to go out on the water early in the morning, commune with nature, and enjoy the peacefulness and quietness that the early morning offers.

This is a picture I took while kayaking at sunrise last week on the Ottawa River. It was very hot and humid, which you can see from the haze in the photo. During that outing, I saw an osprey and a bald eagle but I was too far for good pictures. The sunrise on the other hand was fantastic. This shot was taken straight into the sun, about 45 min after sunrise, when the sun was much higher up in the sky. Hope you like it. Cheers.
