Duel at Sundown by DaniloFaria

I will dedicate this image to my girlfriend and partner in adventures (http://ift.tt/1yzzOAc), as I was about to give up waiting for sunset because I wasn’t going to drive this 4×4 rough road back at night. She convinced us to stay, and for 15 or so minutes the light was even and beautiful!
When I first saw an image of this location 5+ years ago I said to myself: I need to personally see this place one day. Well, after many years of postponing and planning, I finally reached my goal. It was a few days past fall peak, but it did not disappoint at all. It is so surreal; I can only imagine when it was first built in 1892… Thank you all for your support!

Certainty by DaniloFaria

Running risks to find what is ahead, search for answers, keep going…
“Uncertainty is the only certainty there is, and knowing how to live with insecurity is the only security.” John Allen Paulos

Early morning sunlight shines on Kanarra Creek Canyon walls (Hoya ND-400 X, 9 stop filter used). A precarious stairway helps hikers to go further into the canyon to other falls, in search of certainty. This specific ladder has suffer serious damage from a flash flood a few years back, it has been replaced with a new one since this image was taken. Thank you all for your support and feedback!

Running into a Wall by DaniloFaria

~If you’re trying to achieve, there will be roadblocks. I’ve had them; everybody has had them. But obstacles don’t have to stop you. If you run into a wall, don’t turn around and give up. Figure out how to climb it, go through it, or work around it.~ Michael Jordan

Beyond the Maroon Lake you have the whole place for yourself… work around it! North Maroon Peak (14,014ft/4247m) and South Maroon Peak (14,156ft/4290m) are peaking alongside thousands of aspens. Thanks for stopping by!

Narrow it Down by DaniloFaria

Warm light shines on the “The Narrows” walls at Zion near the location known as “Wall Street”. It’s definitely a very beautiful site to see, early morning light glows in the massive canyon walls while the crystal and cold waters of the Virgin River continues the eternal erosion process. Thank you all for your support, I appreciate it very much!

Aspen Boulevard by DaniloFaria

~Two roads diverged in a wood and I – I took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference.~ Robert Frost
A fall storm approaches Gothic Mountain and light up its aspen gold trees… the fall colors, the fresh air, what a bliss. Thank you all for your continuous support!

MarS by DaniloFaria

No wonder why NASA chooses the southwest for testing of their spacecrafts…
Meanwhile in the middle of a sunny day, a severe dust storm sweeps through the Totem Pole area with winds of 50+mph… visibility was extremely poor, time to run to the car.
Thank you for your feedback!

The Awakening of the Spider by DaniloFaria

Woke up 5 AM to wait for sunrise at Canyon de Chelly, a sacred Navajo Park. Well, needless to say the sunrise was far from impressive, so I have to salvage a few shots before the light got too “bright”. Still a marvelous place and sight to be awaken to…
Seen at center of the image, the marvelous Spider Rock. This rock stands alone about 800 ft (242 m) tall from the canyon floor. Thank you very much for your support!
