The river at Håkon’s mill by harbard74

The father of some of my second cousins used to sit here and fish. I have never seen, but the trout was big here, and he used to catch them with ease. Myself, I remember this place as the first place my father took me to fish. Sleeping in a tent on the riverside. We got 6 small trouts. Later on I always managed to catch some trout here but they never weighed much. Two years ago I tented with my then 8 year old son at the same spot my father brought me. And for the first time I managed to get trout to brag about here. Next time will probably be when my son takes his son.

Late walk on familiar grounds by harbard74

Storfossen is part of the family farm, it’s where I grew up. Taking photos of waterfalls on Iceland reminded me of the beauty of more familiar grounds. This summer while visiting my family I decided to try and capture the rivers and streams with the same intensity as when travelling other parts of the world.
