Id have to say the evening I captured this amongst many was probably the highlight of my 2 week California trip.
When this all started up, hearing people up above me out of sight cheering, I couldnt help but smile. Often I’ve been in locations by myself & swearing or giggling like a little kid as the light go’s off, but hearing a whole load of people & many just watching not photographing was something to remember.
If I do ever return to Yosemite, ill certainly return to this little location I discovered hidden out of sight.

On a side note I should probably get my head checked based on how the shitty dynamic pulse punishes regular posters.Whats the point of it all?

Bridalveil Fall’s flowing one week from all the rain they had, it was gone the following week when I made a round trip return.

Sunlight On Jericho by eyeofalens

Sunlight on Jericho needs some Black

When I first saw these rock walls/canyon on Saturday, for one reason or another the first thought that popped into my head is that they looked like something out of a biblical setting or painting.
That thought was reinforced again when someone commented more or less saying the same thing on 500px, thinking they looked biblical.
Hence the title I have chose to apply to this image. The Walls of Jericho thought to have been for both defense & flood protection.
Not sure if this is the best of the images captured with the sun passing its light down this passage, but its the only one having captured some of the minimal tidal movements on what was a reasonably calm after noon.

For all the purists out there, there is some clues for you in keywords which might assist your neurons.
There is a few soft spots in this on account of the rain squall that was going on whilst capturing this. Nonetheless Im happy with it.
