The new vacationers by ramon4

People has gone…
At the end of August, Lesser black-backed gulls (Larus fuscus), become very common in our beaches, mixed with our breeding population of Yellow legged gulls (Larus michahellis).
I want to give the warmest welcome to all

Eternal summer by ramon4

Shall I compare thee to a summer’s day?
Thou art more lovely and more temperate.
Rough winds do shake the darling buds of May,
And summer’s lease hath all too short a date.
Sometime too hot the eye of heaven shines,
And often is his gold complexion dimmed;
And every fair from fair sometime declines,
By chance, or nature’s changing course, untrimmed;
But thy eternal summer shall not fade,
Nor lose possession of that fair thou ow’st,
Nor shall death brag thou wand’rest in his shade,
When in eternal lines to Time thou grow’st.
So long as men can breathe, or eyes can see,
So long lives this, and this gives life to thee.

Calpe at dusk. by FranciscoGarciaRios

View from the salt flats of El Saladar (Calpe, Alicante, Spain), on February, just at the time when the sun just hide, the “blue hour”, called this way by the predominantly blue glimmer of the remaining light, which also makes a beautiful contrast with the warmth of artificial lighting. It was a big pleasure sharing that photographic evening with Alfredo Blanquer (Konqueror) enjoying the beautiful photographic opportunities this place offered.
“Calpe al anochecer”.
Vista desde las salinas del Saladar, en la alicantina localidad de Calpe, en febrero, justo a la hora en que el sol acaba de ocultarse, la llamada “hora azul”, por el predominante color azul que la tenue luz restante procura y que tan bello contraste hace con la calidez de la iluminación artificial.
