Dragons Tail by eyeofalens

Dragons Tail (Bandon Oregon)
I shared another image of this location some time ago, but wanted to present an image in a darker manner & more towards the blue light & dusk colors that were evident.

You really should look a this in a dark room or the lights dimmed : )

Path to Solitude by cwexplorationphotography

Here’s a moody long exposure shot taken over at Second Beach during low tide. I’m pretty stoked to be heading back to this area this coming weekend.

Wharariki Drift at Nelson, New Zealand by PatrickMarsonOng

A huge playground for photographers. Take your pick from waves, tide-pools, reflections or sand dunes. There’s even a cave not far from here where you can perfectly frame the sea stacks.

I opted for that classic wave shot, hope you like it! Cheers guys!

Rush at the Cathedral by PatrickMarsonOng

How was your weekend guys? Hope you were able to see or catch something amazing! 😉 This was taken during our last stopover vacation in Australia. Thanks to friends for bringing me here. Weather and swell were near perfect during that time. Timed a couple of wave shots to showcase the beauty of this place. Truly a landscape photog’s playground! Cheers guys!

Sanctuary by Shainblum

Some friends and I were blessed with incredible light in Half Moon Bay. I have been toying with this composition for over a year and a half now. I have gone back to this location over 10 times with promising sunsets…yet every time they would fade out to grey. I was literally jumping up and down yelling in excitement of how amazing this light was. I am super excited to share it with you all.

Light Falls by Kyraly

Last light at Rialto Beach on the Olympic Coast Waves were flowing through the depression in the rock creating a waterfall effect. We had 5 days on the coast in the Pacific Northwest a few weeks ago and had great light 4 of the 5 days.

Follow The Sun by eyeofalens

Please Pop Follow The Sun on Black

I must have played around in this tidal wash for several hours & in hope that I would get another day of a killer sunset ..alas it wasn’t meant to be ! Still though the air was thick with Pacific Ocean humidity & fog , blocking out the sun enough to capture some of this.

10 Years by MarkMetternich

Workshops
Post Processing Video Tutorials

This image has been 10 years in the making. I have been attempting it periodically since 2005 but weather conditions and a stubborn Marine Layer prevented success. Then I saw Dustin Wong get out there and get it done and I was re inspired to target it.

Over 3 days of attempts, including sleeping out on a high cliff for most of the night, I finally got what I was after. A 11mm (the new Canon 11-24mm) Vertical just as the Milky Way touched the tip of the massive sea-stack below. Few places I have ever been in my life compare to the sheer grandeur of this location. A couple weeks later I had the privilege of leading my Ultimate Pacific Northwest Workshop here where everyone agreed that this was one of the best places in the entire world, to stand, let alone take photos..

A 12 day MEGA Pacific Coastline Workshop/Tour is in the works and will be announced shortly. If you are interested in joining us, simply email me a request at MarkMetternich@gmail.com to be on my Tour Announcement List, and receive free PDF brochures of my 2016 workshops.

GREAT LIGHT to you! And thank you for looking. :)|

A huge shout out to Dustin Wong for inspiration and to friend and photo processing extraordinaire Alex Noriega for help processing this image.
