The financial district of frankfurt am Main covered by fog. This photo was taken during my last photo-workshop about long exposures, architecture and urban landscapes in the german capital of skyscrapers and the financial system.
We started in a rainy morning but after a while the rain stopped and we just got a grey sky without any structures in the clouds.
When we arrived at the river Main the fog started floating deep above Frankfurt to cover the famous skyscrapes. A rare moment which we had to catch! During the next weeks I will show some results of the participants too.
I am happy to announce that the new dates for the next photo-workshops are almost planned. I will publish them on my website within the next week. Stay tuned.

Tuscany without the leaning tower of Pisa isn´t the real Tuscany. On my Photo-To-Do-List this building was in the Top 10 and now I am happy that I got this shot. So I can remove it from my list.
The Torre di Pisa was an absolutely highlight for me on my last trip. What a beautiful, very filigree building. I´ve never seen a tower like this before. And it´s even more interesting with it´s special character. The tower leans at an angle of 4 degrees.
The tower’s tilt began during construction, caused by an inadequate foundation on ground too soft on one side to properly support the structure’s weight. The tilt increased in the decades before the structure was completed, and gradually increased until the structure was stabilized (and the tilt partially corrected) by efforts in the late 20th and early 21st centuries.
If someone of you is in the area to take photos of this tower without any person in it, you should go there before the sun comes up. The first tourists arrive during sunrise and the special silence at this place is gone.

So here I am at the crossroads, do i continue to post my work on 500px, the rate of change is prolific that I really can’t keep up. Are the changes making 500px better or more popular? In the past year I have had my work published in professional photography magazines, newspapers and I am just embarking on my first solo exhibition. i am beginning to sell prints of my work and I am wondering is it worth all the effort of posting to 500px. I do have a sense of loyalty as it has had a massive influence on me and I have made many friends but maybe its time for a break to take stock, consider and watch. as ever your support and warm words continue to inspire and you can always follow my latest posts on my FB Page.http://ift.tt/1WB5ssO
