Near Page Arizona is what is known as a slot canyon; its called Lower Antelope Canyon. Carved out by water erosion and flash flooding of the Navajo Sandstone its one of the more beautiful spots in the world to take pictures.

I’m about to leave for a two-week trip shooting the southwest, and I’m reminded of the images I made last November – some of my all-time favorites. This is one of those images, taken in the famous Virgin River narrows of Zion National Park, Utah.
It’s a slightly different composition than I posted last year, with updated processing – the original was a bit rough, having been done on a laptop from the road.

I was amzing to witness the sanestone arch in northern arizona. The arch sits in the perfect spot. When the perfect angle of light came at the right time, the arch was truly glowing. It was really amazing to see it on my own eyes.

This beautiful slot canyon in Northern Arizona requires a lot of effort to get to, including hiking on a mud and climbing down 10-12 ft ladder. There is a nice room at the end before a big drop that a light beam appears around 10-11am.

“The secret Canyon” – Scotland
It was early in the morning as we climbed down into this otherworldly green world. The water was deep dark and ran quite quickly through the tight canyon. After my many negative experiences with water damages lately it was a mental challenge for me passing some difficult passages. Perhaps a subconscious reason why I increasingly shoot on mountains lately ;-).
Howsoever I guess Felix and I stepped into a real hidden treasure. Which was an epic opportunity for us to take photos here.
