Having a little climb in the Grand Canyon and tadaaa – this is the result 🙂
Great times with my buddy Felix Röser last year in the Wild West.

Even forests have their own magical charisma on the Azores. The thick soft and mossy ground combined with the fresh vegetation makes it very unique. I explored this woods while discovering some remote mountainous parts of Sao Miguel.

I felt like an astronaut here, 350m above the crater lake in the twilight of the dawning day. If you ever have planned to visit the Azores: Do it! The variety of different sceneries on a very compressed space is a feast for body and mind.

There are still locations that are not mentioned in the (German) tourist guides but are definately worth a visit. I was thrown back into the Columbia River Gorge as I entered this green cathedral. Lush, green, mossy and everywhere sounds of nature around me. One of my favourite natural landscapes to take photos beside mountains.

The sea is not only water. It´s much more. It´s canvas, inspiration and sometimes even alive.

I earlier posted something from this epic sunrise on my first morning. It looks like I have found a green coated moon. Haven´t seen such a landscape before, but this is definately a piece of paradise on earth.

I sat in my little apartment looked a bit silly in the sky and then on my clock: Only 2:30pm…
I would still really like to meet a jungle adventure today. Said and done. After an hour’s drive uphill, downhill, uphill, downhill, and so on, I finally reached a valley that was cut into an old volcanoe. After some scrubby jungle I reached this stream and carefully waded upstream with some Tarzan-like performances at the river´s edge..
This is the result.

I wouldn´t call me a preferred seascape photographer. But when it comes to an interaction I always love to feel the rough power of the ocean. Here in the middle of the Atlantic, nearly 1000 miles from any mainland this feeling is reinforced.
As if it would call me “Come Home…”

In the depths of the volcano-gorges true natural treasures slumbers.
As I clambered on the big green marbles in a landscape dipped in hazy light I soaked in the energy of the moment to share it with you.
