The Glowing Towers by aagazzi

It’s exactly one year ago when I uploaded my first image on 500px. I take this occasion and post slightly modified one of my images that I consider as my personal favorite for the year 2015. It was also the first image which has has reached a pulse over 99, kind of a special moment as a member here 🙂 Some of you have seen it though before, hopefully you don’t mind to see it once again, the original is http://ift.tt/1NPTdPI.

busy traffic flowing through areas of gangnam and seocho district in seoul, south korea. Almost looks like cars are warping through the straight across the han river all the way up to seoul n tower.

The sunset last night was just incredible, a thunderstorm started only a few minutes before the beginning of the blue hour. I could only set up my tripod on my balcony and try to capture this amazing moment.

This image is a stack of 5 x 50 sec exposures to get all the lightning bolts I was able to capture in a single image.

I don’t know what else to say to describe this moment except it was just amazing and the image I was able to capture doesn’t give it justice. I don’t think I will see one of those again anytime soon…

Shot with Canon 5Dmk3 and Canon TS-E 17mm lens. Processed with Photoshop CC 2015, NIK Color Efex Pro 4 on a custom built PC, powered by Windows 10 Pro 64-bit. I used Wacom Intuos Pro to paint the luminosity masks and lighting effects.
