This is Svartifoss in the south of Iceland. The day I took this picture, we had a very flat sky and nearly now shadows. I tried to make te best of it and work with some filters which finally turned out well.

Hrímþursar – a giant ice world, where myth and reality are one side of the coin. The weather was so typical icelandic, that I just thought “ok” – that monochrome and atmpsheric landscape with all its textures, forms, faces.

Back in time, more than 3 years ago at the famous glacier lagoon in Iceland. It was the year a close friend brought me deeper into stuff like shooting in RAW and I started to take photography more serious than before.

While listening to tons of Ólafur Arnalds today, I recovered this old picture and started to do my best in pp work. Today I would do a lot of things totally different before shooting but I liked the time there so much.
