Smoldering Embers by cwexplorationphotography

I haven’t posted an image of St. Helen’s in a long time and I’ve been holding onto this one for a bit. The processing on this one was tough because the wind was blowing so hard. I had to hand blend 7 images for depth of focus and sharpness throughout the frame. This was taken at twilight as the supermoon rose up over the left shoulder of St. Helen’s the summer of 2014. I think that this is one of my new personal favorites. Hope you will enjoy it as well!

The first snow had fallen on the volcano. How much I missed it. I could not wait to climb to take some nice photographs. What better time to use the new camera I had just purchased?
I walked the path that leads to the craters of 2001. After I made few photos I decided to return home because some mist was approaching and the sun was setting. While I was returning I found footprints that were leading me in the right path.

Hakone, Kanagawa by PAkDocK

One of the best places to see the Fuji, we were lucky at the end of the day. Like in many other places you can feel how in Japan culture and nature are mixed in such a great way.
I love the old manual 50mm Nikkor on a small travel camera.
