Duel at Sundown by DaniloFaria

I will dedicate this image to my girlfriend and partner in adventures (http://ift.tt/1yzzOAc), as I was about to give up waiting for sunset because I wasn’t going to drive this 4×4 rough road back at night. She convinced us to stay, and for 15 or so minutes the light was even and beautiful!
When I first saw an image of this location 5+ years ago I said to myself: I need to personally see this place one day. Well, after many years of postponing and planning, I finally reached my goal. It was a few days past fall peak, but it did not disappoint at all. It is so surreal; I can only imagine when it was first built in 1892… Thank you all for your support!

Chamber of Secrets by DaniloFaria

~There are no secrets that time does not reveal. ~ Jean Racine

A person becomes so small in this massive, yet narrow labyrinth of rocks. Color, light and shades shift and change every second. Thank you all so much for the appreciation and comments!

Narrow it Down by DaniloFaria

Warm light shines on the “The Narrows” walls at Zion near the location known as “Wall Street”. It’s definitely a very beautiful site to see, early morning light glows in the massive canyon walls while the crystal and cold waters of the Virgin River continues the eternal erosion process. Thank you all for your support, I appreciate it very much!

Down the Road by DaniloFaria

While dozens of photographers flocked the famous “Courthouse Mountain” spot waiting for sunset, I went a few yards down the road and saw this view… This view of the sunset was great, the Courthouse one this specific day, not so much…Thank you all for your support!

Mix & Match by DaniloFaria

Greens, yellows, reds, oranges, blues…
The fall in Colorado mostly doesn’t have all the bright red maples found in the New England area, however you can found some incredible colors amidst the sheer size of its aspens fields and mountains, such as this aspen field at Kebler Pass in early October… Thank you all for your support!

Duel At High Noon by DaniloFaria

This image was not easy to get, due to the extreme dynamic range. It was still very bright, but many areas were under shade, so the polarizer and ND came out very handy. The location on itself is one of those hard to believe that is real. It was a few days past fall peak, but it did not disappoint at all. I couldn’t resist calling it High Noon, just back in 1892… Thank you all for your support!

Plunging Into the Blue by DaniloFaria

Early morning at the very edge of Havasu Falls (95 ft/29 m in height), Havasupai Reservation. I am not going to lie saying I wasn’t afraid of being so close to the edge, but “what could have gone wrong, right?” (the famous last words)… You can see all the picnic tables around the bottom of the falls, they look tiny form up there. Thank you all for your support and visits!

What Lies Ahead by DaniloFaria

Let me start saying I do respect the opinions of many of my colleagues after the 500px.me Chinese beta version of the website went live, I read hundreds of comments of unhappy (to say the least) photographers towards the management of 500px. Let me add I do understand why so many people deleted their images, some delete their account altogether. I do agree that they (500px) did not handle the situation well, they could have done much better communicating beforehand, not “damage controlling” the situation after the fact. With that said they are still the best photo share site out there, and even before this “Chinese” version I already had many of my images “stolen” and rebroadcasted without my permission from Flickr, Facebook, Google+… So, unfortunately this practice is not going to end “because” you’re not posting here any longer… but everyone is entitled to their opinion!

In the meantime, early morning light shines somewhere in “The Narrows” (Zion National Park), where beauty is beyond your dreams. Thank you all for your support, I appreciate it very much!
