One cool thing about 500px is tapping into the community’s visual expertise to poll a photo – in this case 2 photos. I’m posting an uncropped version and a cropped version of the same image. I’d like to see which one has a stronger visual appeal. Here is the other one: http://ift.tt/21UNx0o

I’ll remove the less popular version from my profile.

This version is one image, while the other image is a combination of this image and a top portion of the vaulted ceiling stitched together. I feel they both have their merits, but your thoughts are appreciated. Thanks for helping me out!!

Walk down to Vietnam Veterant Memorial that raining day. I see him standing there with his own reflection. A soldier myself in that war, try keep my hand not shaking to take this photo and take his hand in silence briefly afterward ,then walk away swallow my tears inside knowing he did the same. ( The incurable VN syndrome ? )

A different edition of the Multiverse light sculpture by Leo Villareal on the walkway to the East Building at the National Gallery of Art in Washington, DC! It is a mesmerizing experience to see the LED lights play in the tunnel as you go through it!

Union Station is a major train station, transportation hub, and leisure destination in Washington, D.C. Opened in 1907, it is Amtrak’s headquarters and the railroad’s second-busiest station, with annual ridership of over 5 million. The station also serves MARC and VRE commuter rail services, the Washington Metro, and buses.

At the height of its traffic, during World War II, as many as 200,000 people passed through in a single day. In 1988, a headhouse wing was added and the original station renovated for use as a shopping mall. Today, Union Station is one of the busiest rail facilities and shopping destinations in the country, and is visited by over 40 million people a year.
