On the Rocks by StefanHefele

“On the Rocks” – Grand Canyon

Having a little climb in the Grand Canyon and tadaaa – this is the result 🙂

Night Affair by StefanHefele

“Night Affair” – Azores

I felt like an astronaut here, 350m above the crater lake in the twilight of the dawning day. If you ever have planned to visit the Azores: Do it! The variety of different sceneries on a very compressed space is a feast for body and mind.

Crater Island by StefanHefele

“Crater Island” – Azores

I earlier posted something from this epic sunrise on my first morning. It looks like I have found a green coated moon. Haven´t seen such a landscape before, but this is definately a piece of paradise on earth.

Eden Island by StefanHefele

“At first there was Paradise. The people made a mystical garden of it.”
Once again I have made myself on the search for it and was able to find a faraway gem in the vast expanses of the oceans.

Kingdom of Myths by StefanHefele

“Kingdom of Myths” – Carpathians / Slovakia

Most time I´m in search of fog. On my last tour there was no need for searching. I was blessed with dozens of foggy moods. That morning in the colorful carpathian mountains was one of the rare moments we were also able to witness some blue skies.

Into the Wild by StefanHefele

“Into the Wild” – Gloomy Dolomits

“While I was standing on the edge with an infinite depth in front of me I felt the last warmth of light on my skin while the cold shadows slowly spread and the darkness covered the monumental landscape like a veil.”

The green Queen by StefanHefele

“The green Queen” – Höfats – Germany

Beauty is not always easy to achieve. So we are doing many things in life. To reach this viewpoint a long march with thousand of vertical metres was necessary. However, the sweat and the effort evaporates when such a photo is in the box.
The Höfats presents itself like a queen in the blazing early evening light on a warm summer day. Full of devotion the wildflowers seem to bow before their beauty. What a paradise of an idyll.

Promised Land by StefanHefele

“Promised Land” – Assynt – Scotland

The view from Suilven was even more fascinating than the ascent itself. After a spooky, foggy night on the ridges of the mountain we had a short blast of light in the morning. Only seconds. But enough time to keep the memory forever.

Green Vein by StefanHefele

“Green Vein” – Allgäuer Alpen – Deutschland

Like green veins vegetated ridges draw through the Allgäu Alps. They seem like bizarre gardens amid an unreal environment.

The Coronation of Bavaria by StefanHefele

“The Coronation of Bavaria” – Allgäuer Hochalpen

What a tour! Probably my last, before it´s getting back to familybusiness for a while. A ridgewalk already was in my mind for long. The heavenly green, grassy and steep slopes of the Allgäu Alps were perfectly for my undertaking. While a small thunderstorm built up in the front, the landscape revealed in its purest beauty. A beauty that is not describable. One has to experience it.
