Wishing you all Happy and Safe Thanksgiving!!

The folks in Yosemite are in for a very cold Thanksgiving (down to 23 F/ -5 C) holiday, but I would be awesome to see Halfdome covered in snow from Glacier Point.

This image is from last September when it was much warmer, in fact Yosemite and the Easter Sierras were ravaged by wild fires then and there was a visible smoke fog in the valley. But it made for some nice atmosphere during sunrise…..I hope you like it….

Mount Grinnell Sunrise by peteleclerc

It was my first time in Glacier National Park, Montana. I was hoping to get calm weather for nice reflections at sunrise in the lakes but when i got there it was storm force wind so i used a Neutral Density filter to smooth out the water and it also created a cool effect with the clouds which were a combination of cloud formations and smoke from the still burning wildfires in the park.
This is Mount Grinnell at Sunrise from the shores of Swiftcurrent Lake in Glacier National Park, Montana

Taken with the Canon 5DSR and 16-35mm f4 IS and a ND filter
