Scorching march by Joel_Santos

Oryx marching at Sossusvlei, Namibia. The name “Sossusvlei” means “dead-end marsh”, owing this name to the fact that it was a drainage basin without outflows for the ephemeral Tsauchab River. Most of the sandunes are over 80 meters high and are composed of 5-million-year-old sands, thus making the Namib the oldest desert on Earth. © Joel Santos –
