You want a dog?

If you are not willing to mop up sick, dribble and pee when he is a puppy, sick or old, choose the plush toy instead.
If you are not willing to spend lots of money on vet and pet food bills, choose the plush toy instead.
If you are not willing to take him for walks even at an unearthly hour and in the most unfortunate weather conditions, choose the plush toy instead.
If you are not willing to adapt your holiday traditions in a way that he is being taken care of properly, choose the plush toy instead.
If you are not willing to accept that your clothes might get dirty, drenched in sick, dribble or pee, or covered with fur, choose the plush toy instead.
If you are not willing to cope with remote controls, mobiles or chair legs being chewed on, choose the plush toy instead.
If you are not willing to spend the next 15 years adapting your life to his, choose the plush toy instead.
But if you are willing to cope with all of the above and to receive years and years of joy, laughter and love in return, adopt your best friend. There are thousands and thousands out there waiting for loving forever homes. Emphasis being on “loving“ and “forever“.
