Halo by whuang

Having shot an unbelievable sunset at this beach earlier in the year I didn’t expect to make another visit. However with the low tide coupled with calm surf I figured I’d shoot the tide pools along the shelf of this sea stack.

For three straight days a stream of mid deck clouds poured through the Bay Area. I missed the first day but I made it a point not to miss day 2. I focused primarily on the tide pools getting reflections and using the green sea grass as contrasting colors. As expected the sky burned intensely for over half an hour and was easily one of the best light shows of the year.

Golden Gate Swirl by MaxFoster

“Golden Gate Swirl” – San Francisco, CA

This was the first shot I took in San Francisco, after running about 1/2 mile to get here before all the good light was gone. Nothing super original, but the evening colors were pretty nice.

Scorpion’s Tail by VictorCarreiro

This shot comes from the same location as my “Dark Cove”, only different perspective. Whenever I get bored of shooting locally here in the Bay Area, I must remind myself that there are always new ways to be creative.
