Vermilion Colors of Horseshoe Bend, Arizona by PatrickMarsonOng

A must stop on our IT, the famous Horseshoe bend. Spent a couple of days in Page Arizona for antelope canyon and this iconic location. Horseshoe bend is located along HW89, just few minutes south of Page AZ. Thirty minute walk from the parking lot, a grand and majestic view awaits!

Classic sunburst sunset shot, nailed it! 😉 First time to see so much visitors plus a looooot of photographers with tripods lined up on the edges of the lookout point waiting for the sun to set. Amazing!!

We decided to check this place out again on a sunrise. Strange that we were the only ones there morning. Either this place is not known to be shot on sunrise or everybody’s still enjoying their beauty sleep. lol!

The 25% cloud cover forecast turned into 80% Woooot! So here’s something from that awesome morning, enjoy!

Gold and Riches by preston_rowlette

I don’t care to own many ‘things’, unless those things help me arrive at moments like these.

Escalante arm of Lake Powell.

I had been imagening this shot ever since I noticed this place a couple years ago. I always figured this would be a quite difficult shot to pull of, as the narrow bridge I’m standing on is in a awkward position considering the angle of this gorge.
By hanging my camera and tripod out from the bridge, I manage to find a composition I felt would work. Now the next challenge is the vast difference in light, from the darkest shadows in the rocks to the very bright sky above. I needed 7(!) images to fully capture the dynamic range.
I loved the dark red skies floating on the sky, making this a pretty dramatic view. Not sure if this would be the entrance or exit to Hell, what do you think?

A Dark Morning by DianiRalph

A dramatic early morning on Chale Island. I was actually after a mellow sunrise with no clouds and a yellow sun coming up over a calm turquoise sea, with gently waving palms on white sand !!! Oh well, I guess that we can’t control the weather. What I have noticed is that the pre-dawn lights are often much more dramatic and colourful than the light AFTER the sun is up !!!

The Bluffs by jaycrockett

480 Second long exposure of the Scarborough Bluffs. Beautiful area at the east end of Toronto. Lots of great photo opportunities provided by these cliffs formed by a glacier that disappeared 12,000 years ago.
