Breaking Bandon by erintoliephotography

It has been far too long since I have posted something online, much less had the time to photograph anything at all. The reason being, I recently bought a new RV and have decided to head south and explore my options. I’m currently taking some time in Bandon. It is so cool to just roll outta bed, grab my gear and 5 minutes later be down amongst the sea stacks here.

This is the first time I have photographed anything in over a month. It took me a bit to get back into the swing of things. Plus it was 31 degrees this morning and I had run outta propane (heat) the evening before. I was not looking to get wet so I took the safe route and perched up on some rocks. Anyways, it is so good to get back out there doing what I love to do most. Thanks for taking the time to check out my shot 🙂

Dragons Tail by eyeofalens

Dragons Tail (Bandon Oregon)
I shared another image of this location some time ago, but wanted to present an image in a darker manner & more towards the blue light & dusk colors that were evident.

You really should look a this in a dark room or the lights dimmed : )

Sunset at Bandon Beach by sdhrt

I found the juxtaposition of the backlit rocks and waves amazing. I set up the shot to catch just a bit of the sun to form the star burst. It was a five shot bracketed set that was blended to form this shot.

Sort of a weird comp here, I’ll admit. I for sure didn’t knock this one out of the park, but I was trying to include the little swirl on the left side. Maybe it works, maybe it doesn’t… I’m too dumb to figure it out! Got some pretty sweet light though, which is good because I’m a half-wit and easily excited over things like colors in the sky and swirly things in the water. I think most people who know me well will agree that I should be wearing a helmet most of the time.

Got some big tours with really cool dudes who don’t wear helmets coming up next year. Marcel Van Oosten was kind enough to honor me with the privilege to lead a tour to Namibia for him next year… I’m guaranteeing it will be epic. Also my good friend Arild Heitmann and I will be leading another crazy tour next March to shoot the Lofoten Islands… it’s always a successful trip. Check out the links above for all the info you need!

Point me to the stars by guptaarjun

Another shot from my recent trip to Oregon taken at Bandon Beach.

This was taken about 2 hours after high tide and sunset. I found these nice leading lines in the sand caused as a result of the receding tide. The lines, along with the famous Bandon rock inspired the title of the image.

This image is a blend of 2 exposures, one for the foreground and one for the stars. There’s plenty of light that illuminates the rock faces from the various houses on the Bandon Beach Loop Dr.

Please view on black and thank you for your views and comments.

*This is a reupload as I heard there was some outage on 500px last night after I had uploaded the image. Thanks to Thomas for the information.
